This morning I have been in talks with our sales representative for the Comcast cable network. We have purchased 122 spots to run on the following channels 8/03/09 - 08/16/09: Bravo, Comedy Central, CNN, Entertainment (E), ESPN, Spike, TBS, TNT, Cartoon Network, and USA. Most of these spots will run between 3pm-12am with a couple early morning and overnight spots to cover all time slots.
Our first two week run on our local stations has been a big hit and we have had great feedback on our TV spot for the McBidz website. We will continue to run this TV spot for a couple more weeks in the Southeast and decide which territory to cover next. Our social networking numbers continue to grow quickly with close to 16,000 followers now on our Twitter page who follow our daily updates and Word of Mouth Marketing (WOMM) working strongly over the internet and through social circles. Remember to DIGG us when you get a chance www.Digg.com !
Our TV spot has been completed and now have scheduled it to run in the SC area the weeks of July 20 and July 27 (2 weeks) for a total of 62 spots (31 per week). This is just a first run to get a better handle on the timing of the ad and feedback from the public. This ad will start running on cable channels up and down the southeast soon afterwards. You can also find a copy of the McBidz TV ad on our video sharing section McVidz located at this link http://www.mcbidz.com/mcvidz/video/328/McBidz-TV-ad and the ”About Us” page of the McBidz website http://www.mcbidz.com/aboutUs.php.
McBidzers have a safe and fun 4’Th of July today! I will be celebrating with friends this afternoon & family at the beach tomorrow so should make for a good R&R weekend for me before going back to work Monday morning.
Most of us know the 4′th is a day for celebrating the freedom we enjoy in America, but did you know specifically it is a “federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain” ? Our TV spot we have been pushing for the last month is still being made in the production department at our local TV station. The producers keep pushing our release date back because of their backlog. I have been promised this coming week we should at least have a first “review” of a finished product. McBidz will start running the spot at first within SC and then the Southeast and go from there. If the spot is good enough we will start running it on a national level once we see the kind of feedback McBidz gets on a regional level.
