McBidz has issued a new press release as of this morning 02-24-09 which you can view directly by using this link http://www.eworldwire.com/pressrelease/19394 or visiting the “Newsroom” link on the left sidebar of this blog. This basically follows up on the announcement this week of our intention of selling off our subsidiary Mobile Charging, Inc. We are hoping the right team comes along who is well funded to take this great company/idea to the next level. The idea behind Mobile Charging is solid, but with the launching of McBidz we just can’t juggle two ideas of this magnitude at the same time. If we don’t find a buyer by the time McBidz levels out we may still move forward as I see a great future in the electric vehicle (EV).
We did meet with our mascot rep. this past weekend and tried out the new ”Chuckster” mascot. To our disbelief the designer made an error with the size/height of the viewing area so when worn you couldn’t see well enough to walk around in. The idea of our rep walking around without being able to see in the uniform was enough for me to send it back to be modified; we still expect ”Chuckster” back within a week or two. Several thousand flyers started printing on the press today for McBidz in California so the “Chuckster Tour” is still on schedule, just a little delay with the uniform.

We have indeed received our mascot “Chuckster” this week from our designer and have planned a series of meetings within days involving our mascot representative and programmers. McBidz is now in a position to move fairly quickly to rollout our Chuckster Tour up the East Coast and get the ball rolling on the site. So what is going on right now? Daily contacts with printing companies who are doing our flyers, guerilla marketing street level advertisements are ongoing & finalizing the hotspots we intend to visit on the Chuckster Tour. The countdown clock we are hoping to setup within the next week or two with the countdown still slated to look out about 45 days to give us time to roll up the East Coast with our mascot, flyers, and street team in tow.
A major announcement just decided yesterday is the selling off of our subsidiary Mobile Charging, Inc. (www.Mobilecharging.com) McBidz has announced this to give us the time to focus on our core business which is essentially building the largest website community the USA has yet to see. There have been several runs at our premium domain names for electric vehicles such as www.Automobilecharging.com and several others which we have attained for our subsidiary last year, but we fully intended to use them ourselves so the option of selling them has never crossed our minds and we turned down several brokers (buyers). Now with McBidz taking up most of our time we feel the time is right with the Electric Vehicle (EV) on the brink of introduction into the USA market & (EV) being a billion dollar growth industry the time is right for the sale. Within the week you will see the splash page of www.Mobilecharging.com reflect this offering and the Newsroom has been updated for future Press Releases.

McBidzers our mascot “Chuckster” has been completed and will be shipping this week. Our tour will be starting near the end of this month (February) and the countdown clock posted soon afterwards. The upgrades to the servers will be completed during this process and several Press Releases sent out to announce the McBidz launch. The countdown clock at this point will be set at about 45 days to give the tour time to roll out across the East Coast with our guerilla marketing campaign to kick off on launch day. Couple pics from our designer of “Chuckster” below.

While we get further along going into launch mode for the McBidz website an article today in the news reminds me how important it is to protect your online passwords. Not only on McBidz, but anywhere else sensitive information is stored. Here is a link from Yahoo Tech news on the most hacked passwords list http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/120554. When entering information on the McBidz website your information is encrypted by our servers, but the security of your online identity is only as strong as the weakest link so be sure not to use password information criminals can easily find about you on the web (ex. birthdate, address, phone, schools, employment). With the explosion of social networking sites it’s even easier to find this information so use something unique!
Our team is still waiting on the completion of “Chuckster” and we will get those pictures out to you as soon as we have the finished product. We had a meeting with the mascot rep. over the weekend and everyone is ready to start the Chuckster Tour. We may even push the launch day up a little so we can get our countdown clock going and McBidz open to the public.

Our designer sent some pictures of our mascot “Chuckster“ to us today. I’m only releasing a sneak peak as a teaser because he is not fully completed yet. I have been assured that we are looking at no more than a week to finish up and put the final touches on before shipment.

We all know by now the devastating impact the economy is having on normal everyday Americans the very same people McBidz as a company will be trying to recruit as new member “McBidzers” in the coming months. While the immediate results will be felt by millions the trickledown affect of job loss, bankruptcies, and the inability to get loans on everyday items such as cars, student loans, and homes will be felt by millions more. Most business models rely on a good economy to keep employees and retain a positive cash flow for growth in most every sector. This is the reason you now see what appeared to be solid Corporations laying off thousands and going out of business.
McBidz was developed on the foundation of being an internet “meeting place” for everyday Americans. While the economy continues to decline we hope to fill a void where our member McBidzers can continue to operate that small business, sell and purchase everyday items, and interact with their friends free of charge. We didn’t expect to launch in this climate of devastation, but we will rise to the challenge and maybe even lift a few sprits while touring with our mascot Chuckster down the East Coast. Although we didn’t know it at the time the McBidz mega site will be launching in a rare time in history, one in which our members will be counting on us to be there as a meeting place for their friends and have an affordable market for goods and services.
