The headline above reflects the Press Release issued this morning 01-27-09. As always you can view our most current press notices by clicking on the “Newsroom” link to the left on the blog or use this direct link to view the release as it appears in the newsroom http://www.eworldwire.com/pressrelease/19325. Most of our member McBidzers know by now the most popular activates performed on the internet will now be located on the soon to be launched McBidz website. While BUZZ circulates around the USA we expect to be well within our goal going into 2010 of 5 million McBidzers simply because the little niche sites will no longer be useful. Why would anyone go bouncing around the net to use all the features they can find in one place all the while staying in touch with their friends by way of the McBidzers social network? Simple answer is they wouldn’t this is the backbone of the McBidz philosophy.

Most of you reading the blog the past several months are well aware of the vast amount of features on the new McBidz website. One we decided to include at the last minute was a “Search Submission” service http://www.mcbidz.com/submission for our member McBidzers. This was placed on McBidz for you because the last several years using search engine submission services on the internet to submit websites for me the cost was always around $100 dollars or more for a year (12 submits-1 per month). Add to that the fact that they would never answer an e-mail and that did it for me! So I set out to place an affordable & easy to use website submission service for our members on McBidz. Even if you do it at the recommended interval of once each month to get the best position the cost is still under $60.00 for a full year! Big time savings for exactly the same service you would pay at least $100 dollars for anywhere else. Once you submit your website through the McBidz search submission website your information will go to our webmaster whom will than submit your website to all the popular search engines for a fraction of the cost. We encourage all of our McBidzers who have personal, business, or even blogs to submit their site regularly to get the best placement on the popular search engines.

While we welcome in our new President today here in the United States most of us will look forward to his new slogan “Change”. While I tend to lean Republican with the economy in ruins and unemployment at its highest point since 2001 I look towards the future with cautious optimism. News reports estimate the crowd in D.C. will be reaching over 2 million people to participate in the ceremonies which will be the greatest number of people that has ever attended the swearing in of a new President, with the runner up being Lyndon Johnson with 1.2 million in 1965. Political talk has a way of promising much and delivering little so we will see if the wind of change holds true in the coming months.
McBidz scheduled to send out a Press Release today which had been planned some several months back, but didn’t want it to get lost among the Presidential coverage so we have pushed it back a couple weeks to let things settle down. Our programmers continue to peruse the site checking and rechecking functions with no problems so we are looking forward to a smooth launch day when the time comes.

As we draw closer to getting the site ready for launch and placing the countdown clock on the splash page our programmers thought this might be a good time to revisit our bug reporting procedure. Be assured we have tested the entire McBidz site redundantly among several programmers and we all feel the site is at 100% functionality. But until we have several thousand McBidzers on the site at the same time the real test is yet to come. To get immediate help you can always contact them directly by using our contact page and sending the report directly to our webmaster. The best way to do this to keep a running account and get updates among your fellow members is to report any problems directly on the social network McBidzers forums here http://www.mcbidz.com/mcbidzers/forums.php under the heading, you guessed it “Got Bugs?”. When we launch our people will be readily available to follow up and if need be correct any concerns.

Since we have a little downtime now we often discuss among each other the future of the McBidz platform going into the new economic downturn. Nowhere on the internet is there a place quite like McBidz. It seems the years of planning and development have really paid off for McBidzers. We were careful to add a free option for most of our site so anyone wanting to use McBidz could do so without using a credit card or cash infusion. The idea since day “1″ was to create a community built on trust, security, and affordability for our members. While the economy may be weak for years to come our member McBidzers will continue to enjoy a meeting place where they can do business and interact for free with more features than the paid niche sites you see popping up daily.
The 10 million dollar idea headline catch your attention? While reading through the latest issue of Inc. magazine they featured a little known personal site www.Plentyoffish.com , the owner a 30 something entrepreneur it seems is pulling down 10 million a year working one hour a day. Ok got my attention, so I read on and checked out the site; let’s just say you won’t believe it until you see it. The site is definitely unique (my read “ugly as sin”), but he uses Google ad sense (small text ads that users click on and he gets paid by Google for having these on his site). Anyone can use these ads and we looked into it when first designing McBidz over two years ago. I decided against them because I feel they take away from the professional design a serious website should have. As a matter of fact most small sites have these and I had decided to stay away from them when I first started seeing them pop up. Got to give it to him though 10 million a year for a couple text ads, not bad.

As we go into the New Year those of you monitoring the site through the blog may have noticed testing on the social network, McBidzers in the forums. We have decided to add a couple features while waiting on the mascot costume to be completed. The holidays pushed us back a little while our team and designer took a little time off. Most of the new features are being added to the admin side so the user won’t see changes per the look or functions. The mascot costume is very involved and may take a little more time than planned, but is being worked on daily by our designers hired to complete this task. The company working on “Chuckster” is well known and respected with their work with professional mascots so the finished product will be first rate.
While working on the McBidz site this past year we transferred the site over to a shared server to put everything together and test the finished design and features. Before the final site launch is completed we will transfer the McBidz site and all related domains back over to a dedicated server to provide our McBidzers with first rate speed and security for your new home.

Happy New Years Day! We are seven months in now with the new blog and getting ready to put the final touches on the tour schedule. 2009 holds great promise for the launch of the new McBidz as the site is what we had imagined it would be, a place where all our member McBidzers can accomplish everything they need to on the internet in one place. Most of our sections have a FREE option for those who don’t need the extras with paid membership so there is indeed something for everyone.
A couple points we touched upon in the blog deserve to be reviewed once more for clarity:
- Each section of McBidz has its own Registration page.
- PayPal is our payment gateway so be sure to have an account; In addition our advice is to get the “security key” they offer for added security.
- The official launch day will be after the countdown clock has expired once set (45 days) you will see this on the splash page.
- Our goal this year is 5 million members. We have an aggressive guerilla campaign in place to help achieve this goal.
- BUZZ is king spread the word, with thousands of McBidzers now spread across the USA in combination with our tour and guerilla campaign 5 million may be a low goal for 2010!
